Canadian–Egyptian journalist Rami Botros hosts Egypt’s legendary Dr. Zahi Hawass

In a remarkable media interview and for the first time, Canadian–Egyptian journalist Rami Botros hosted the world-renowned Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass, one of Egypt’s most iconic figures in the field of Egyptology and a guardian of the ancient Egyptian heritage through decades of research and discovery.
The conversation explored rich topics, including the glory of ancient Egyptian civilization, the Grand Egyptian Museum and its global significance in redefining the presentation of antiquities, as well as the issue of looted Egyptian artifacts and the ongoing efforts to repatriate them. Although the establishment of the Grand Egyptian Museum is a national project involving numerous institutions, Dr. Zahi Hawass played a pivotal role in supporting and promoting the project from its early stages. He helped highlight the museum’s importance as the world’s largest museum dedicated to ancient Egyptian civilization, and consistently showcased its cultural and scientific value through his global lectures and international tours. Dr. Hawass has also remained one of the strongest advocates for Egypt’s rightful claim to recover its antiquities from abroad.
About Journalist Rami Botros:
Rami Botros brings over 30 years of media experience. He was among the administrative founders of Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper and later served as Commercial Director at both ONTV and OTV channels. He has extensive experience in media management and holds a Master’s degree in Media Marketing. He studied media at Northwestern University in the United States and currently teaches media at Sheridan College in Canada.
Rami is also the founder of Oxygen Media, established nine years ago, along with its daily online newspaper, both of which have become trusted names in media production and content creation across Canada. In addition, he hosts an Arabic-language television program on the Canadian Rogers network.
