Rotary Club of Montreal district 7040 Participates in Leadership Training – Part 2 by the Rotary Leadership Institute

The Rotary Club of Montreal district 7040, led by lawyer &president Bill Kharbotly and the Public Relations and Communications Advisory Team tess Charpentier& Nour Sobhy& Ahmed Bondok in Montreal, participated in the second part of the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) training program — a distinguished annual initiative aimed at developing leadership skills within Rotary Clubs worldwide and enhancing members’ abilities to manage community service efficiently and effectively.
This session focused on key principles for building successful and sustainable institutions. Discussions covered vital topics such as Rotary Opportunities and Effective Leadership Strategies, as well as methods for attracting new members, particularly youth, who bring growing energy and awareness to social and community service.
The training also highlighted the importance of Club Communication and Team Building, emphasizing the significant role of Action Groups and Committees in strengthening participation and achieving harmony among members.
In addition, participants discussed youth-related issues and the challenges they face in modern society, including teenage depression, exploring practical Rotary-driven initiatives to support and address these issues. The course also tackled the topic of homelessness and the need to provide decent shelter, as well as mental health, recognized as one of the most pressing global humanitarian concerns requiring collective awareness and collaboration.
Beyond local challenges, the program also addressed global issues affecting humanity, such as human organ trafficking, examining its root causes and exploring solutions through humanitarian and awareness efforts that reflect Rotary’s values around the world.
